We braaied on the balcony of the Armchair before the gig. Seemed like a great idea at the time to start drinking early. By 11pm I had my doubts.

Here's Alex Sudheim, leadsinger of Lilo. Smooth shaver. Snazzy dresser.

This is uncle Randy from Die Naaimasjiene.

Chutney de Ridder. He works for a newspaper and came round to do an interview with the bands.

Gilad and Stephen doing door duty. Or pretending to.

Die Naaimasjiene played a befokte set. Here they are, mesmerising the masses.

Famous people came to watch. Here's Monsieur La Vita and Rooi Jan (Radio Kalahari Orkes).
Then The Buckfever Underground played, but there're no photos of them, as the photographer (me) is in the band.

Lilo closed things off with a brilliant gig. People didn't want to let them go.

I drove La Vita home. He changed his mind and wanted to be dropped off at the Cornerhouse. On the way we stopped at a 7/11 in Main Road. He bought me a chocolate which said 'PS Keep Smiling'. I couldn't, I was about to pass out.
